Telefónica Tech and the Spanish Association for Quality (AEC) have partnered to create the CISO Club, a platform designed to bring together cybersecurity professionals and foster collaboration and knowledge exchange. With a focus on providing practical cybersecurity tips, the club aims to connect CISOs and cybersecurity managers from both the public and private sectors to address their day-to-day challenges and find innovative solutions.

The CISO Club was officially launched at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica, where industry leaders and representatives from organizations such as the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), ISACA, and the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN) came together to support this initiative.

Centralizing Information and Knowledge for Cybersecurity Professionals

The primary objective of the CISO Club is to centralize information and knowledge for CISOs and cybersecurity managers, both nationally and internationally. This platform serves as a meeting point for professionals interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity, providing guidance for young professionals and those transitioning into the field.

Through the CISO Club, experts can engage in discussions on cybersecurity issues, share experiences, and stay updated on the latest alerts, news, reports, and technical articles. The club also promotes capacity building, training, and awareness through specialized courses.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing for Enhanced Cybersecurity

María Jesús Almazor, the COO of Telefónica Tech for Spain and America, highlighted the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing among companies and institutions to provide better cybersecurity services and create a society that is well-educated and aware of cybersecurity from an early age.

Avelino Brito, the managing director of AEC, emphasized the need for new management practices and skills to address the risks associated with new technologies. He stated that these practices and capabilities are integral to quality organizations.

Telefónica Tech's Commitment to Cybersecurity

Telefónica Tech is dedicated to protecting companies and institutions from cybersecurity threats. With a team of 2,000 professionals specializing in cybersecurity services, the company operates digital operations centers (DOC) in Madrid and Bogotá, as well as 11 security operations centers (SOC) across Europe and America. These centers monitor and supervise the security of global customers around the clock.

Telefónica Tech also actively shares cybersecurity information with other industry players. As a member of the National SOC Network in Spain, organizations can benefit from Telefónica Tech's threat intelligence and take necessary measures to enhance their security.

Building a Stronger Cybersecurity Industry

Govertis, a part of Telefónica Tech, offers cybersecurity consulting and training in various areas such as industrial, financial, and cloud environments. They also provide support for the corporate CISO function, further strengthening the industry.

The creation of the CISO Club by Telefónica Tech and AEC demonstrates their commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among cybersecurity professionals. By providing a platform for discussion, sharing experiences, and staying updated on the latest developments in cybersecurity, the club aims to contribute to a more secure digital environment.
