Fans of Marilyn Monroe will have the opportunity to interact with a remarkably lifelike digital version of the iconic actress at the South by Southwest tech conference in Austin, Texas. Known as Digital Marilyn, this artificial intelligence creation will debut at the event, allowing fans to engage in conversation and hear her familiar breathy voice.
Digital Marilyn, developed by Soul Machines in partnership with Authentic Brands Group, will appear on a computer screen dressed in a black turtleneck sweater and her signature blonde pixie hairstyle. She will even express emotions, such as smiling in response to compliments.
During a recent test, Digital Marilyn discussed her favorite movie role as Sugar in the 1959 comedy 'Some Like It Hot.' Reflecting on the character, she described the role as both challenging and rewarding, and recommended other comedy films like 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.'
Soul Machines CEO and co-founder Greg Cross expressed excitement about the project, stating, 'Every time I talk to Marilyn, it's a special feeling. You feel like you have a good relationship with an icon.'
